Gunkul Engineering, the installer of solar rooftops on Siam Premium Outlet Bangkok, has installed more than 20,000 square meters of solar panels to generate electricity from solar energy. This initiative helps reduce carbon dioxide emissions by up to 4,300 tons per year. Miss Naruechon Dhumrongpiyawut, Chief Operating Officer in charge of investment and innovation strategy, represents the company in advocating for Siam Piwat Group to achieve Net Zero.

The company's business model is directly aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) and SDG 13 (Climate Action). Apart from renewable energy projects, the company aims to create an ecosystem for customers as an Energy Ecosystem Provider, with the goal of driving the country towards 100% clean energy through three main pillars:

  • Security: Designing or improving infrastructure to enhance energy efficiency and stability for customers.
  • Green Energy: Providing consultation and offering renewable energy solutions that support various electricity needs, from residential to industrial installations.
  • Finance: Offering financial solutions in collaboration with financial institutions to provide customers with flexible options for accessing clean energy.

"We take pride in being part of Siam Piwat's sustainable journey with the installation of solar rooftops at Siam Premium Outlet Bangkok. We see this as a landmark green destination where not only Thais but also international visitors can experience the true intentions of Thai entrepreneurs."

The company is confident and ready to support Siam Piwat in achieving the goal of Net Positive Impact, making it the first shopping center in Thailand to use 100% renewable energy by 2030.
